I am emailing because we?re currently considering the publication of a book entitled The Rise of Branded Content: How advertisers control what and how you read written by Ava Sirrah. This book examines the role of advertisers and marketers in how the news is generated and delivered to readers in the current media landscape. It aims to spread media literacy and urges people to consider the impact of branded content in determining what they read. Given your expertise in this subject area, it would be really useful to get your thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the proposal.
